They hide the price in fancy proposals. I give it to you straight.
I speak tradie, so you don't have to speak tech, and the work speaks for itself.
Web, IT, software, marketing: too many agencies bury what you're paying for under technical language. I'm Andrew from Drill Bit Digital. We explain what you're being sold, work out what your business actually needs, and do as much or as little of it as you want.

G'day, I'm Andrew.
After years of working with tradies and small businesses, I kept seeing the same thing: people who are brilliant on the tools paying far too much for digital services.
It wasn't carelessness. The quotes and invoices they'd been handed were written in tech language nobody had ever explained to them.
A tradie shouldn't need a second qualification to understand the digital side of their own business. That's the gap Drill Bit Digital is here to close: digital work built around exactly what your business needs, explained in plain English and priced to match.
We're based in Sydney. We stand between you and the tech talk, work out what the real problem is, and fix it. You deal with us directly, from the first chat onwards.
Free quote check.
Been handed a quote you can't read? Send us what you've been given, or what you're already paying for, and we'll go through it with you line by line: what each thing is, what it does for your business, and whether the number looks right. It costs you nothing.
Getting you higher up Google. Ask what they actually do each month.
Meetings to work out what you want, before any work is done.
Keeping your website switched on, and fixing it when it breaks.
Rent for the software your site or system runs on.
You can't leave for a year, whether it works or not.
What we actually do.
No business needs everything on this list. That's why the first chat matters so much to us, and why we give it so much time: it's where we work out together which few are right for you.
One at a time, these are small changes. The right ones, combined around what your business needs, add up to a real leap forward for the business and its growth.

We talk
Face to face in Sydney, or a video call anywhere in Australia. Everything and anything is on the table: how the business runs, what's not working, what you've been quoted elsewhere. We bring the full list of what we can do, and work out together what you actually need.
-
You get a proposal
Everything we landed on, clearly laid out: what we'll do, what it costs and any ongoing costs. Take all of it, some of it or none of it. Once you say yes, the work begins.
-
You sign it off
When the work's done, we hand it back to you to review. You get two free rounds of changes before the final payment is due. This is why step 1 matters so much: the more we learn up front, the less there is to change later. We're not happy until you're happy.
Jargon buster.
Words that turn up on quotes and invoices, and what they mean on site.
- SEO
- Work that moves you higher up Google's list when someone searches for your trade.
- Google Business Profile
- Your free listing on Google Maps: the box with your phone number, hours and reviews.
- PPC or Google Ads
- Paying Google each time someone clicks your ad. The clicks cost money whether they call or not.
- Lead
- Someone who got in touch about a job. Not the same as a job.
- Domain
- Your web address, like yourbusiness.com.au. Rented by the year.
- Hosting
- The computer your website lives on. Also rented, usually monthly.
- CRM
- A customer list with a memory: who rang, what you quoted, what you did.
- Scope
- The list of what's included in the job. Anything not on it costs extra.
- Licence fee
- Rent for software. Ask what happens to your site or system if you stop paying it.
- Retainer
- A fixed monthly fee. Always ask for a list of what it covers.
Fair questions.
Is the quote check really free?
Yes. Send us a quote, report or invoice from any agency, whether it's for a website, IT, software or marketing, and we'll explain it in plain English. No charge, and no obligation to use us for anything.
Do I have to take everything in the proposal?
No. Take all of it, some of it or none of it. Plenty of businesses only need one thing done well, and you can always add more later.
How does payment work?
Half when you accept the proposal, half when you approve the finished work, after your two free rounds of changes. Any ongoing costs are listed in the proposal before you agree, and you can cancel them any time.
I already use a calendar and a few apps. Do I have to change everything?
No. We start from how you already work and build around it. The point is less admin for you, not a new system to learn.
Do you only work in Sydney?
No. If you're in Sydney, we'll usually meet face to face for the first conversation. Anywhere else in Australia, we start with a video call, and everything after that works over the phone, video and email.
Is the app on Android too?
Apps are built for iPhone. If you or your team use Android, mention it when you get in touch and we'll talk through the options.
What happens if I want to stop?
Ongoing costs can be cancelled any time. Your business information and customer records are yours, and we hand them over. What happens to the website or system itself depends on how it's built, and we explain that in plain English before you agree to anything.
I already have a website. Can you work with it?
Yes. We'll reuse what's worth keeping, rebuild it properly, and make sure your old address still points to the new site.
Know someone who needs a hand?
Send them our way. If they become a client, we'll pay you 10% of what they spend with us, as a thank you.
Enquiry sent.
We'll be in touch within one business day.
